Lambert Construction Company begins Farm House fraternity project

Lambert Construction Company broke ground for the new Farm House fraternity house at OSU on April 3, 2011. The $7.5 million project is scheduled to be complete by July 2012. The Lambert team includes Gregg Bradshaw, P.M., as construction manager and bid process supervisor, and Marvin Goedecke, an OSU graduate, as on-site superintendent.

“Lambert Construction is very excited to be involved with such a prominent project for the OSU campus,” said Bradshaw.

Selected by the Farm House Board of Directors last summer, Lambert Construction Company will serve as bid process supervisor, value engineering consultant, and construction manager. Lambert Construction is working alongside Bockus Payne and Associates Architects of Oklahoma City. The companies have collaborated on projects previously, and their relationship will help ensure that construction proceeds as scheduled.

The new Farm House fraternity house will measure 37,000 square feet, more than double the size of the existing house. The three-story building will be steel and metal-stud framed, providing maximum cost control for the extensive space required.

Exterior features will include a Georgian architectural style with a combination of brick veneer and synthetic stucco facade. The interior of the house will include a chapter room measuring 2,000 square feet and an indoor basketball court sporting a built-in sound system topped off with an overhead projector.

For the Farm House project, Lambert Construction Company will gain a particular benefit from a new team member. Jordan Northcutt, a construction management senior at OSU and outgoing Farm House president, will join Lambert Construction as a summer intern and will be in a unique position to serve as a liaison on the project.
