Lambert Construction Tops Out AOII House at OSU
Company broke ground on the new Alpha Omicron Pi women’s fraternity house at OSU on April 22, 2013 and celebrated the topping out on October 29, 2013.The house which is at the premier location of the intersection of Cleveland and 4th in the heart of the Greek community is a $5.5 million project and is scheduled to be completed in June of 2014. The Lambert team includes Paul Christian, an OSU graduate as Project Manager, Chris Allen, also an OSU graduate as Project Engineer and Ryan Sewell as the on-site superintendent.
Lambert Construction was chosen by the AOII Board of Directors for having a long history of completed projects in the OSU Greek Community. The 1.427 acre job-site includes a colonial style house at 18,753 square feet, 77 on-site parking spaces and several green spaces. The house is comprised of three floors, one below ground and two floors above ground which will sleep 72 women in addition to a house mother’s apartment and guest quarters. The house also features a 12 foot deep front porch on the front of the house and a 2nd story sun porch on the back of the house. The basement will be a multi-purpose room used for a tornado shelter, chapter room, crafting and show preparation. The first floor features a large dining room, a heritage room, an open foyer and living room. All common areas feature large open spaces for entertaining. The second story will be comprised of bedrooms, and a lounge that opens onto the 2nd story sun deck through two pairs of French doors.
